Here, accompanied by an expert ranger, you’ll embark on a thrilling rhino trekking experience on foot, getting incredibly close to these magnificent, critically endangered creatures. This stop is crucial as it completes your Big 5 checklist early in the safari! After lunch, we continue to Murchison Falls, checking into your lodge within or just outside the park.

Day 2: Game Drive & Boat Safari to Murchison Falls Top
Today is dedicated to exploring the wonders of Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest national park. We start with an early morning game drive on the northern bank of the Nile, where you’ll search for lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and various antelope species. The open savanna provides excellent viewing opportunities.

In the afternoon, prepare for a highlight: a boat safari on the Victoria Nile to the base of the magnificent Murchison Falls. This three-hour cruise offers unparalleled opportunities to see hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, and a dazzling array of birdlife, including the elusive shoebill stork. The boat gets you up close to the “Devil’s Cauldron,” where the entire Nile River funnels through a mere 7-meter gorge. The trek can range from a few hours to a full day, depending on the chimps’ movements. Witnessing them in their
natural habitat, swinging through trees, feeding, and socializing, is an unforgettable experience.
In the afternoon, you can opt for a fascinating Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary nature walk.
