The waters violently compress through a narrow 7 meters’ gorge, spraying misty droplets along their wake over a 50 meters’ radius to a spot that is called the “Devil’s cauldron” This creates a permanent rainbow over the battlefield and causes a continuous roar. Day 1: Pick up and transfer for Murchison Falls National Park

As early as 6am, you will be picked up at your hotel by Elephant Whispers Safaris safari guide to drive on your journey to Murchison falls national park. It’s a 6-7 hours’ drive. Arrive in the park early afternoon for en-route lunch.

Later afternoon, drive to the starting point for the bottom of the falls boat cruise on the Nile. This boat trip will take about 2 hours while enjoying the great views of animals like elephants that drink from the River, crocodiles, hippos, different bird species and panoramic view at the bottom of the mighty Murchison falls. You will spend take viewing the falls at the bottom while taking pictures then later return to meet your driver to return to the lodge

Optional activity: Top of the falls hike;

After viewing the fall from the bottom, you have an opportunity to hike to the top of the falls. However, this hike is quite tuff so you need to be physically fit to hike to the top of the falls. This hike offers better opportunities to view the falls at different viewpoints. Since the hike is difficult and quite steep, you will only hike on-way and you will meet with your driver at the you of the falls. Thereafter, drive back to your lodge.

Day 2: Game drive and transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe

After an early breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive as early as 6 am. The activity takes about 2-3 hours depending on animals available. Some of the animals to be spotted includes elephants, Rothschild giraffes, buffaloes, lions, Hartebeest, Uganda Kobs, Oribis and waterbucks and leopards. However, seeing all the animals is not guaranteed as they keep moving but viewing them in the morning is the best time to spot most of them.

After the game drive, check-out of the lodge to return back to Kampala/Entebbe. If you missed out on the visit to the Murchison falls, drive to the top of the falls before you drive out of the park. En-route lunch in Masindi town then proceed back to Kampala. The driver will either drop you off at a location you advise or at Entebbe airport for your onward flight back home. End of tour.
