This 3 Days Bwindi forest gorilla trekking safari will give you a remarkable experience of Uganda’s diverse Bwindi forest national park for a mountain gorilla experience. Bwindi impenetrable forest national park is well known for mountain gorilla tracking safaris. It is at the edge of the Albertine rift valley in south-western Uganda. Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park was designated a UNESCO world heritage site in 1992 due to its biological diversity. It covers 331 sq km area of ancient evergreen tropical rainforests which is a habitat for more than 400 mountain gorillas about half of the world’s mountain gorilla population in the world. The forest is a habitat to about 16 gorilla families which have been habituated for tourism, making Bwindi the best destination for travellers to see mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Gorilla trekking is the significant tourist activity in the park, and it is a beautiful wildlife experience allowing visitors to see gorillas for 1 hour and up to 4 hours through gorilla habituation experience. Bwindi is also providing a home to a diversity of flora and fauna including 346 species of tropical forest birds including 23 species endemic to the Albertine rift valley and 120 species of mammals. Other wildlife includes 220 butterflies, 100 ferns, 163 species of trees, 27 species of frogs as well as 27 geckos and reptiles.

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park
On the 1st day of your 3 Days Bwindi forest gorilla trekking safari. depending on your location in Kampala/Entebbe, you will be picked up to transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park located in the western part of Uganda with approximately 540km from Kampala by road. You will have a stopover at the equator for photography and the experiment and another stopover in Mbarara town for lunch. Proceed to your booked lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Your accommodation will depend on your gorilla trekking sector.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience
Enjoy early morning breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters with your packed lunch for briefing by the ranger guides and later head into the forest for your trek. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi takes 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. These primates roam the park freely and there is no way of telling where they will be for a particular day. On finding them, you will be allowed 1 hour to view and take photos of these gentle primates, enjoy your lunch packs and meet your driver / guide and transfer back to your lodge. The time after trekking can be spent on a village tour or lazing off at the lodge as you savoir the memories of your gorilla trek in Bwindi and prepare for the next day. Day 3: Transfer back to Entebbe and Departure
You will enjoy breakfast and transfer back to Kampala with a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch. Proceed to Kampala/Entebbe arriving in late afternoon. You will be drop off at the hotel in either Kampala/Entebbe as you advise or at Entebbe airport for your onward flight back home. End of safari
