4 days Volcanoes park safari is a trip which will start in Kigali and you will be driven to the north western part of Rwanda to engage in activities like gorilla trekking, the Dian Fossey hike in Volcanoes national park and also golden monkey trekking.
Your tour will end with drop off in Kigali.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: pick up and drive to Volcanoes national park
After pick up at the Kigali international airport, your guide will pick you up and drive you to Volcanoes national park ahead of your gorilla trekking experience in Rwanda.
You will have a stop at Iby’iwacu village for a cultural tour to experience the culture of the people of Rwanda. During the cultural tour, you will spend time with the locals and enjoy traditional dance performances, visit the homesteads and learn more about their way of life. After the visit to the village, your guide will drive you to the lodge in Volcanoes national park where you will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 2; Gorilla Trekking
You will have breakfast early at the lodge and your guide will drive you to the Kinigi park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park and with your assigned ranger guides and packed lunches, you will begin the search for the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.
During the gorilla trekking experience in Volcanoes national park, you will explore different trails in the forest and spend 1 hour in the presence of the mountain gorillas and watch their behaviour closely and record videos and take photos. After the gorilla trek, your guide will drive you to the lodge where you will have dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3; Dian Fossey Hike
After an early breakfast, you will proceed to the Volcanoes national park headquarters in Kinigi where you will have a briefing and start the Dian Fossey hike to Mount Karisimbi where you will visit the tombs of Dian Fossey.
You will move with ranger guides and follow different trails and also enjoy views of the Virunga mountains in the national park. After the hike, you will return to the lodge where you will have your dinner and spend the night.
Day 4: Golden Monkey Tracking and transfer to Kigali
Your guide will take you to the park headquarters for a briefing on golden monkey trekking in Volcanoes national park. For about 3 to 5 hours, you will spend time in the bamboo forests searching for the golden monkeys. During the golden monkey trekking experience, you will also encounter other primates in the forests like black and white colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, red tailed monkeys, l’hoest monkeys among others.
After finding the golden monkeys and spending time with them in their natural habitat in Volcanoes national park, you will be driven back to Kigali which will take about 2 hours and you will have lunch and your guide will drop you off at the airport which will bring the tour to an end.
