Queen Elizabeth national park stands out for its diverse landscape and wildlife because it receives good rains compared to the Masai Mara national reserve of Kenya and Serengeti national park of Tanzania hence giving visitors more panoramic views for much of the year. Among the amazing features in the park include exploration crater lakes, Gorges, Salt Lakes and rift valley Lakes like Gorge and Edward. Detailed Safari
Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park (6-7 hours) – Ishasha sector
Depending on your location in Kampala/Entebbe, you will be picked-up by Elephant Whispers Safaris safari driver guide to set off to Queen Elizabeth national park. The park is located in the western part of the country about 6 to 7 hours’ drive with en-routes stop at the Uganda Equator where you will be able to take photographs and visit the craft shop, proceed to Mbarara where you will have en-route lunch as you proceed to Queen Elizabeth national park via Ishaka. Upon arrival, explore the crater lakes before you continue to your booked accommodation in the Ishasha sector for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Ishasha game drive – community tour
After breakfast, connect for a morning gam drive in the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park. Ishasha sector is home to the tree climbing lions which can only be found in this park. After the game drive, have lunch the connect for a community tour visiting the communities around the park – participate in fishing activities, canoeing and community walks. Drive to your booked lodge in Kyambura for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise.
On the 3rd day of your 5 Days Queen Elizabeth national park safari, you will wake up early, have breakfast and connect for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi area for chances of finding animals like the Lions, leopards, Elephants, Buffaloes, Antelopes, and Warthogs just to mention a few with en-route Katwa salt mines. Return at the lodge for lunch and wait for your afternoon activity.
Connect to the starting point of the boat cruise along Kazinga channel where you will get an opportunity to see a number of bird species, elephants and buffaloes, hippos and crocodiles at the lake shores. Queen Elizabeth national park has the largest number of hippo pools in East Africa. This will take about 2-3 hours before you return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above
Day 4: Primates tour at Kyambura Gorge lodge – Lion tracking experience
After breakfast early in the morning, you will depart for primate’s tour at Kyambura gorge. It’s a 2-5 hours’ activity walking through the gorge for chances of spotting primates like chimpanzees and monkeys. Chimpanzee tracking in Queen Elizabeth national park with your tracking gears. After the activity, drive back to the lodge for lunch.
Later afternoon, connect for the lion tracking experience and get a chance to spot the lions at a closer range off track. Thereafter, go for an evening game drive for more animals. Return to your lodge before night fall for dinner and overnight stay at lodge.
Day 5: Return to Kampala/Entebbe – Departure
After breakfast, check-out of the lodge and embark on your journey back to Kampala/Entebbe with en-route lunch and stopovers to refresh.
