Detailed safari
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park – Bigodi swamp walk
Depending on your location, you will be met by our company representative/driver-guide and transfer to Kibale forest national park in the western part of Uganda with stopovers to stretch and lunch depending on your location and time. Visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. The reserve is abundant with butterflies, plants, animals and, in particular, birds. Spectacular birds like Great Blue Turaco and rare Papyrus Gonolek will be of great interest to birders. The swamp is also home to more elusive animals such as Red Colobus monkeys and Sitatunga antelope. Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
On the 2nd day of your 6 Day Uganda Adventure Safari, after breakfast, and go for briefing and start Chimpanzee trekking. Kibale Forest National Park is one of the best safari destinations in Africa for chimpanzee tracking. Kibale’s 795km2 National Park contains one of the most beautiful and with the most varying tracts of tropical forest in the whole of Uganda. This is place to a number of forest wildlife, most especially 13 species of primate coupled with chimpanzees.
Thereafter, embark on your journey to Queen Elizabeth national park with en-route lunch On reaching the park, connect for afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga channel and evening game drive. Day 3: Lion tracking/morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise.
You will wake up early and head out for a lion tracking experience after which en-route game drive to catch up with the early risers. Explore the Kasenyi sector – a known mating ground for kobs and a hunting ground for lions. While on the game drive, expect to see some of the big four-game including lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, also different species of antelopes, warthogs, and white Colobus monkeys just to mention a few.
You will then return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will go for a launch cruise along the Kazinga channel where you will get an opportunity to see a number of bird species, elephants and buffalos, hippos, and crocodiles at the lake shores. Return and relax at lodge as above
Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On the 4th day of your 6 Day Uganda Adventure Safari , you will wake up early, have breakfast, and embark on your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable national park. It’s a 5-7 hours’ drive depending on your gorilla trekking location. Day 5: Gorilla Trekking
After enjoying an early breakfast and transfer to park headquarters for the briefing before you set off gorilla trekking. Trekking through the steep, densely forested hills and then finally coming across the gorillas camouflaged in the vegetation is an inspiring and privileged moment. Tracking in the Bwindi forest requires stamina and can often take most of the day and spend an hour in the presence of the gorillas before you return at your meeting point with the driver-guide to return to the lodge. Day 6: Transfer to Kampala/Entebbe
After breakfast, start your journey back to Kampala/Entebbe with an en-route stop at the Equator and lunch. It’s an 8-9 hours’ drive to Kampala/Entebbe. Upon arrival and depending on your drop off advice, you will either be dropped at a location you advise the driver or at the airport for your departure flight back home.
