This 8 Days Classic Uganda Safari will take you to Murchison falls national park, Kibale forest national park, Lake Mburo national park, Queen Elizabeth national park, Bwindi impenetrable national park. Visiting these parks offers amazing scenery, primates and wildlife encounter of a lifetime. Kibale national park is Africa’s best chimpanzee trekking destination with guaranteed best views of the chimpanzees and other 12 existing primates in the park. It is also a home to 138 species of birds, 250 tree species and 60 species of forest wildlife including forest elephants, bushbucks, warthogs, giant forest hogs and buffaloes. Queen Elizabeth national park is located in the western part of Uganda offering the great experience of different Antelope species. Queen Elizabeth national park is home to the tree climbing lions in Uganda. The park is occupied by 2 great lakes – Lake Edward and Lake George which meet at a channel commonly known as the Kazinga channel. Queen Elizabeth national park has plenty of animals and other experiences to be enjoy while on your stay in Uganda ranging from wildlife, culture, boat cruise to nature walks for bird watching and chimpanzee trekking. Bwindi Impenetrable national park is one of Uganda’s oldest national park with diverse rainforest of over 25,000 years ago and contains about 400 plant species. Bwindi Impenetrable national park inhabits half of the remaining endangered mountain gorillas in the world and it is divided into 4 sectors including; Buhoma sector which is the oldest trekking sector, Rushaga sector which has the largest number of gorilla families, Ruhija sector and finally Nkuringo sector.

Day 1: Arrival – Kampala city tour

Upon arrival at Entebbe international airport, meet your safari guide and connect to Kampala city of Uganda. It’s a 45 minutes’ drive from the airport without traffic. Connect for a city tour visiting some of the most interesting places including; the Gadaffi mosque, Bahai temple, Uganda Museum, Art and craft market to mention a few depending on time. Proceed to check-in your booked hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Fairway Hotel for mid-range/Sheraton Hotel for luxury/Forest Cottages for budget

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison falls national park – rhino tracking

After breakfast, meet your safari driver to start your safari with transfer to Murchison falls national park, en route Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary 3 hours’ drive from Kampala for Rhino trekking experience. After the activity you will have lunch then connect to Murchison falls national park entering through the Kichumbanyobo gate from Masindi town. Arrive in the park, connect to visit the top of the falls before you proceed to your lodge to rest.  Dinner and overnight stay Heritage Safari Lodge for budget/Pakuba Safari lodge for mid-range/Paraa Safari lodge for luxury on full board basis

Day 3: Morning game drive and launch cruise

Early morning breakfast and then go for a morning game drive at the delta where you may spot various animal species like elephants, giraffes, lions, Uganda kobs among others. Return and have lunch then at 2pm, you will go for a launch cruise at the bottom of the Murchison Falls along River Nile, enjoy streaming views of hippo and serried ranges of crocodile along the sandbanks, as well as large numbers of different species getting down to drink & bathe.

After the boat cruise at the bottom of the falls, you will hike up the top of the falls where you will be picked up by your driver to return to your lodge. Dinner and overnight at lodge as the above

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park – Bigodi swamp and community tour

On the 4th day of your 8 Days Classic Uganda Safari, Have breakfast and embark on your whole day drive to Kibale national park- the best safari destinations in Africa for chimpanzee tracking. Arrive in the park, have your lunch and later afternoon, go for a 2-3 hours’ nature walk in the Bigodi swamp with a community tour. Return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Chimpanzee Forest Cottages for mid-range/Isunga lodge for budget/Chimpundu lodge for luxury on full board basis.

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking – transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park (3 hours’ drive) – boat cruise along the Kazinga channel

After breakfast you will go for chimpanzee trekking with your packed food and water. Meet your guide at the head office then enter the rainforest to start searching for the chimpanzee, this will take 2-5 hours to find the chimpanzees. On seeing them, you will spend 1 hour with the chimpanzees while taking pictures.

After trekking, meet your safari driver and embark on your journey to Queen Elizabeth national park. Upon arrival, go for your boat trip along the Kazinga channel for yet another wildlife/bird watching experience as you cruise on lake Edward/George. Day 6: Morning game drive and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park

On the 6th day of your 8 Days Classic Uganda Safari , After breakfast early morning, go for a lion tracking experience where you are guaranteed to view the lions, enjoy en-route game drive at Kisenyi area where you will spot a good number of wildlife including Elephants, Buffaloes and all species of antelopes.

Thereafter, drive out of the park to connect to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park via Ishasha sector (home of Uganda Mountain Gorillas). Dinner and overnight at Bakiga lodge/Ichumbi Gorilla lodge/Buhoma Haven lodge for mid-range/Mahogany Springs lodge

Day 7: Gorilla trekking experience.

On the 7th day of your 8 Days Classic Uganda Safari , Wake up early, have breakfast and connect to the forest with your packed food and water. The briefing from the park warden about the gorillas starts at 8 am where your will be guided on highlights about the way of life of the gorillas you will be tracking. The hike can take anything from 2-8 hours. Once you reach the gorillas, you are allowed to spend one hour with them as you stand 6 meters away. Return to the lodge to unwind and dinner and overnight stay as above.

Day 8: Return to Kampala/Departure

After breakfast at the lodge, proceed back to Kampala with en route lunch in Mbarara town and the Equator. Arrive Kampala/Entebbe late afternoon and connect the airport for drop flight back. End of tour.
