15 Days Uganda Safari : This 15 Days wildlife, Uganda primates and cultural safari covers 80% of Uganda’s national parks including Lake Mburo national park, Queen Elizabeth national park, Bwindi impenetrable national park, Kibale national park, Murchison falls national park, Semuliki national park, Lake Bunyonyi and Jinja town. Murchison falls national park is located in the north-western of Uganda offering the best experience of the big four game, and the park is divided by the River Nile which flowing through a narrow gorge causing a lot of force as the waters flow through a narrow gorge thus the most powerful falls in Africa – the Murchison falls. Kibale national park is Africa’s best chimpanzee trekking destination with guaranteed best views of the chimpanzees and other 12 existing primates in the park. It is also a home to 138 species of birds, 250 tree species and 60 species of forest wildlife including forest elephants, bushbucks, warthogs, giant forest hogs and buffaloes.
Semuliki national park and reserve is located in Bundibugyo district near Fort portal town adjust to Congo Ituri rain forest. The park is a home to Uganda’s largest Sempaya hot springs, about 53 mammal species and over 400 bird species recorded in this park thus making it one of the top birding destination in Africa earning a title of “True birders Haven” Queen Elizabeth national park is located in the western part of Uganda offering the great experience of different Antelope species. Queen Elizabeth national park is home to the tree climbing lions in Uganda. The park is occupied by 2 great lakes – Lake Edward and Lake George which meet at a channel commonly known as the Kazinga channel. Mgahinga national park is one of Uganda’s oldest national park with diverse rainforest of over 25,000 years ago and contains about 400 plant species. Lake Mburo national park is smallest savannah national park and has the different species of Antelope and is named as one of the best birding destinations in Uganda. Lake Bunyonyi is the deepest lake in East Africa with 44 -900 meters deep and with about 29 islands. When you think of a place to relax and chill after gorilla trekking before going back home, Lake Bunyonyi is the best place because of its cool weather and freshness of the breeze.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Hotel
Upon arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be met by our company representative/driver-guide, who will drive you to your hotel in Kampala, dinner and overnight stay at Fairway Hotel for mid-range/Forest Cottages for budget
Day 2: Rhino trekking – Murchison falls national park
You will be picked up early morning after your breakfast and connect to Ziwa rhino sanctuary for Rhino trekking. It’s a 2-3 hours’ drive from Murchison falls national park. After trekking, connect to drive to Murchison falls national park. You will enter through Kichumbanyobo gate and proceed to the top of the falls before you proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Parkside Safari lodge for budget/Pukaba Safari Lodge for mid-range
Day 3: Game drive and launch cruise – Murchison Falls
Early morning breakfast and then go for a game drive where you will spot various animal species like elephants, giraffes, lions, Uganda kobs among others. In the afternoon, you will go for a launch cruise on the park’s main tourist attraction the unique Murchison Falls as well as the River Nile with its streaming hippo and serried ranges of crocodile along the sandbanks, as well as large numbers of different species getting down to drink & bathe. Dinner and overnight as above
Day 4: Transfer to Toro Semiliki reserve – evening game drive
You will have breakfast early and then drive to Semiliki national park with lunch en-route in Fort portal town. Proceed to Semiliki with en-route stop for pictures and views of the craters. Upon arrival at the reserve, enjoy a game drive while connecting to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Semiliki Safari lodge
Day 5: Transfer to Semuliki National Park – Visit the hot springs and Amabere caves and crater lakes
On the 5th day of your 15 Days Uganda Safari, After breakfast, transfer to Semuliki National Park. Reach the Park headquarters where you will register and after visit the Hot springs of Sempaya and the Pygmies at their new settlement at Ntandi. Thereafter, drive back to fort portal town and visit Amabere caves and waterfalls and also visit the crater lakes before you connect to your booked accommodation in Kibale national park. Dinner and overnight stay at Chimpanzee forest guest house for midrange/Isunga lodge for budget
Day 6: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi swamp walk and community tour
Have early morning breakfast and go for briefing and start Chimpanzee trekking. Kibale Forest National Park is one of the best safari destinations in Africa for chimpanzee tracking. Kibale’s 795km2 National Park contains one of the most beautiful and with the most varying tracts of tropical forest in the whole of Uganda. This is place to a number of forest wildlife, most especially 13 species of primate coupled with chimpanzees.
After trekking and your lunch, visit the Bigodi swamp with lots of birds and primates and also do a community tour. Later evening drive to your booked lodge for dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above
Day 7: A day hike at Mount Rwenzori – Queen Elizabeth national park
After very early morning breakfast, meet your driver guide and drive to Mount Rwenzori. It’s about 2 hours’ drive to reach Mount Rwenzori. Upon arrival, meet at the UWA rangers post where you will be briefed about the day’s activities and rules of the National park. Start your walk in the forests with wide range of trees and plants with many birds, you will also climb through small streams, rivers through the montane forest. Climb the ridge, bamboo zones with en-route lunch in the mountain, return to the rangers post and back to Kilembe.
Meet your driver to transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. It’s a just about 1-hour driver form Mount Rwenzori. Upon arrival late afternoon, check-in at your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Pumba cottages (budget) or Elephant Hub Lodge (midrange) Kyambura Gorge Lodge (Luxury)
Day 8: Morning game drive and launch cruise
On the 8th day of your 15 Days Uganda Safari, You will go for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi sector where you may spot various animals like the lions, elephants, Uganda kobs, leopards among others. Return to the lodge for late breakfast, in the afternoon you will go for a launch cruise where you will spot various water animals like Hippos and crocodiles, the cruise will also enrich you with various water birds. Dinner and overnight as above
Day 9: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
After having your morning breakfast, you will set off for Bwindi passing through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park where you may spot some tree climbing lions. You will have lunch en-route, arriving in Bwindi in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Haven Lodge for mid-range/Buhoma Community Rest Camp for budget/Mahogany Springs Lodge (Luxury)
Day 10: Gorilla trekking experience
On the 10th day of your 15 Days Uganda Safari, After an early morning breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters for briefing and go for gorilla trekking. This could take 4-6 hours depending on the movements of the gorillas and on finding the creatures, you will be allowed to spend an hour with them. Return to your starting point where you will meet your guide after receiving your trekking certificate. Drive back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma Community Rest Camp for budget/Buhoma Haven Lodge for mid-range
Day 11: Transfer to Kisoro – Batwa community tour
After breakfast, check-out of the lodge and transfer to Kisoro which about 3 hours’ drive from Bwindi – Buhoma sector during through the Kigezi hills. Upon arrival, check-in at your lodge for relaxation and lunch while waiting to visit the Batwa community staying close to the parks as you learn about the Batwa people. Dinner and overnight at Mucha Lodges for Budget option/Lake Mulehe Safari lodge for mid-range
Day 12: Golden monkeys tracking – Lake Bunyonyi
On the 12th day of your 15 Days Uganda Safari, You will have breakfast and head to the park headquarters for golden monkey tracking. Start trekking at 7 am taking about 2-5 hours tracking and on finding them, spend an hour with them before you return to meet your driver.
After having your lunch, connect to visit the Batwa community Later evening, drive to transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, it’s a 2 hours’ drive from Kisoro town. Dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi overland resort (budget)/Arcadia lodge (Mid-range)
Day 13: Explore Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, spend your time at leisure on a boat trip on the lake exploring some of the lake’s 29 islands found there, learning about the history and interacting with the locals. Meals will be served at your lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above
Day 14: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park – optional walking safari or boat trip or evening game drive
You will enjoy your morning breakfast and transfer to Lake Mburo national park. It’s a 4-5 hours’ drive arriving at good time for lunch at your lodge. Later afternoon, spend it on a walking safari and game viewing or optional boat cruise in the afternoon where you will see hippos and different bird species. Or you will simply do an evening game drive at the park. Return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight at Eagle’s Nest Lodge (budget) Arcadia Cottages Lake Mburo (Mid-range)
Day 15: Game drive – Transfer to Kampala/Entebbe – Departure
You will go for an early, have breakfast then connect for an early morning game drive; the park is home to herds of Impala, as well as the more uncommon Topi, Eland, and Klipspringer. Burchells Zebra and buffalo also graze these areas.
After the game drive, drive back to Kampala /Entebbe with en-route lunch and visit of the Equator. Proceed to Entebbe and depending on your flight, you will either be dropped at your own booked hotel or proceed to the airport for your onward flight back home. End of tour
