3 Days Bwindi Gorilla Habituation from Kigali : 3 Days gorilla habituation experience tour from Kigali will take you to Bwindi Impenetrable national park in Uganda. Bwindi forest has the highest population of mountain gorillas in the world. It also has the highest number of habituated mountain gorillas. Bwindi national park is the only gorilla park where one can take park in the gorilla habituation experience.
The gorilla habituation experience is different from normal gorilla trekking experience because it involves visiting a group that has not completed the habituation process. The experience takes longer (four hours) and involves following the gorillas for most of the day accompanied by researchers. Its’ more engaging and offers opportunities to learn a lot about the primates and what is being done to protect them globally. Gorilla habituation permits costs $1500 and is done at the Rushaga sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick-up in Kigali and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Depending on your location in Kigali, you will meet your safari driver and transfer to Bwindi National Park.
The park is located in the south-western part of the Uganda close to Rwanda border, it’s a 4-5 hours’ drive with en route lunch. On arrival to the park, you will proceed and check in your lodge for relaxation.

Day 2: Gorilla habituation experience
Enjoy early morning breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters with your packed lunch for briefing by the ranger guides and later head into the forest for your trek. Gorilla habituation in Bwindi involves visiting a semi-habituated gorilla family that is under the process of habituation. This activity takes a whole day and you are granted 4 hours to stay with the gorillas. After the habituation experience, meet your guide and drive back to your lodge to rest. Day 3: Return to Kigali
Have breakfast at your lodge then drive to cross the border back to Kigali. You will be dropped off at a location you will advise.
